ABOUT PIA

PIA is the namesake design child label of British—American Designer, Natasha Pia Podgoretsky. Her collection is made in New York City and Taos, New Mexico known as the enchanted circle and champions objects she calls ‘consciously woven in light’,  that embolden their wearer to step into their auric power and adorn their supernature.

There is a cult like following to her pieces, that have become highly coveted by collectors seeking deep kismet resonance in their daily wear jewelry, as 'ritual' and a rite of present moment ceremony. 'If it’s meant to be, so it will be' she says of her approach and unwillingness to sell someone something they do not need at that time, preferring to offer sacred matchmaking. There is an architectural design ingenuity that is captivating to the collection where quiet monoliths, pyramids and amulets inspired by light pools, divine voids, sacred geometry and numerology manifest as a seed to a coveted inner grit. Alchemy becomes pure visual portal. An evolving collection of precious jewels and pearls teamed with classic rebelle minimalism [with an affinity for the noble metal, 950 purity Platinum] are intuitively chosen for their inner fire and divine presentness, feeling into our own divinity, into resilience, revelation and transformation.

PIA grew up in the esoteric landscapes of Cornwall England and the UK Southern Coast, a land with ancient orders of the heavens and earth and the longest lineage of witchcraft in Europe. An origin steeped in myth and fairytale, the Cornish Pixie, the legends of King Arthur and Excalibur, of archaeologic finds, fishing and a mining industry with a sublime ocean presence drawing artists and those that wonder with its dream like rhetoric. 'It's truly the holy grail of inspiration that I did not even realise as a child and teenager seeking to find some sense of who I was and focused on drawing and casting spells of protection over my sisters. We grew up in a gentle foster family having been removed from our mother's custody and forever felt a parental severence, but there is something to be said for that. When you don't wish to be tied to the same tree, your will is a powerful tool and it requires trust and an uncanny amount of self believe to push through. I didn't have to deal with deep influencing opinions that told me I couldn’t do it, what I had was encouragement to keep staying the course because the spark, lights and flames were apparent, I am laser focused'. Pia as she prefers to go by, has been finitely obsessed with human connection to the divine since a child, seeking it out as heart felt knowing, unsure of what she was feeling into at the time.

She is a mother of 4, ‘I nickname our Narnia children and my compass’, and says that the jewelry world found her, as a mother. Having studied Fine Art Graphic Design intensely since the age of 13, there is a fundamental desire to connect for others and have them self actualize. A need to do service that she says, separates her from the artist realms of processing and uses her as a conduit. From Design School in London [University of the Arts, London College of Communication], she found her way to New York City via working in the London fashion week circuit as a personal assistant to a Stylist and Artist, glimpsing the worlds of British icons Vivienne Westwood and Christopher Kane, to name a couple. In New York City, she entered the realms of luxury accessory design, and was mentored closely in Creative Direction in the global luxury fashion market by a member of the CFDA before being embraced by the New York City Diamond District universe. It is her mission to be an untethered force of light, adding excellence and magic in all that she conjures.
